Opportunity for a Single Mother

Walmart asked us to create a video for Mother’s Day about a real associate. They gave us a week. While we were up in New York City, at Walmart’s highest volume store, we captured this video with Natasha, an immigrant, a single mother, and an amazing woman who worked her way up through the company, saving her bonuses, and bought a house in Queens for her three kids. This one aired on Mother’s Day.

It pops.

During an interview with Susan, an online apparel retail strategist, we got a feel for her ebullience, and went in a social execution that leveraged her personal fashion perspectives and her and fun, lively vibes.

NYX Makeup Activation

We convinced Walmart to partner with NYX Professional Makeup and hold a company-wide makeup artistry contest for all Walmart associates. NYX selected 3 winners from Instagram submissions. Walmart flew them out to LA, for an immersion into the NYX brand and products. We were there to tell the story. Here’s how it came out in print.

Stop Motion

I brought my agency and my side project, Ethnosh, together to create work for immigrant-owned restaurants. We developed a charming stop motion video for a local Ethiopian restaurant. For many, the food and format is strange and off-putting. Our goal here was to make the cuisine more familiar, even lovable.

Live Event Social

Walmart holds “retailtainment“ events to activate stores around key times of the year. My team visited stores, set up the events to standard, and then captured social content in real time, writing captions in the aisles, sending for approval, and posting within minutes.
